Rough Cuts
In film and video, the ‘rough cut’ is the first version. Often ugly, usually clumsy, the rough cut hints at the potential of images and sounds to represent a time, a place, an event or an idea. The following rough cut stills derive from a series of video works undertaken in the course of the Slow Water Residency project. Illustrated at various stages of production, the works comprise large format projected installation, multiple and single screen monitor presentations.
